| Personal History: A native of Louisville, Kentucky, C. W. Wilson completed formal education at Butler High School and Kentucky Southern College. Mr. Wilson lives in Mercer County on a small farm with his wife, Linda. They have 4 children and a grandson, Matthew. In addition to his teaching and appraisal activities, stream fishing, development of the farm property and family activities including soccer, cooking, and woodworking projects occupy his time. Professional History: Mr. Wilson began his valuation career in the late 1970's and moved his work exclusively to the valuation profession in 1986. Specialty education in the appraisal field was obtained at Purdue University and Eastern Kentucky University in curriculums developed by the Society of Real Estate Appraisers (now Appraisal Institute). Additional classes from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the Appraisal Institute. Initially a residential appraiser with positions on the FHA Panel (now roster) and VA Panel, by 1990 his practice had evolved into the commercial industrial area and he was awarded a Certified General License at the first meeting at which the Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board considered applications. By the mid-1990, the focus of his work had moved to a full time concentration on Litigation Support and unique valuation problems, where it now concentrates. In 1990, Wilson founded the Wilson Educational Group, a significant provider of Appraisal and Real Estate Sales Education and Continuing Education in Kentucky. He remains the curriculum author and chief instructor for that organization and speaks regularly to and for regulatory agencies, lenders, and legal forums. He has published articles on liability and appraisal methodology in a number of Journals and publications. |
